How much do colleges look at SAT scores?

I'm a junior in high school, and I just received my SAT scores. I couldn't be any more disappointed in myself. My grades in high school don't match up with scores at all. I receive low to high nineties in every class except for chemistry (which is an 80-85) and my SAT score came out to be a total of 1420 out of 2400. Pathetic? Yes. I don't see how retaking the test next Fall in my senior year could make my score any better, so, I was just wondering, am I basically doomed for college? :[ It's just really stressing me out.
