In God's design, are sexual interests acquired or innate?

We know that humans have a strong, inchoate sexual drive. Does instinct tell us how to express that sexual drive, as in animals, or do we learn to channel that drive, either productively toward marriage or unproductively, toward everything from bestiality to sado-masochism?
