Biologists: Am I being stupid?

It's not grammatically nice.. and it's also subject to opinion. In lieu of, "and researches that were done to increase the human ability by playing with these pre-sleep brain waves are pointless and stupid", try something more along the lines of "and research conducted to increase the human ability by playing with these pre-sleep brain waves is fruitless." Stupid and pointless aren't suitable for a scientific proposal.
