I heard a song called 'Chick band' in the nineties. Who sang it?

It was poppy and the chorus was something like, "Gonna start a chick band, yeah, yeah, yeah." And ended with "But first we really, really, really want to dance." The singer was male and it was playfully making fun of chick bands. Definitely not a hit, so it'll be pretty obscure. Any ideas?
